Life has brought to me
another corner 'round a bend
I take this time to bid fare thee well
life, treat thee kindly and with love I send
Life has led me to a place
a forkèd place in this, my path
May the choice I make here now
be where I abandon wrath
Harsh things occured and this I beg
an understanding of my thoughts
For I am not to be here just now
p'rhaps anon a day not yet a draught
I hold no more bitterness of feeling
for 'tis a poison I must expel
Let those that would to me this dreg
heed well the three-fold lesson well
What you have sent to me in haught
brought to your lap to rest in pain
That on my work of toil and love
you seek your glory to obtain
If in your mind there is a query
about your role in this bitter play
look deep into your souls own mirrror
for there the truth will have a say

Dearest sweet soul, your poem brought much sadness to my heart.Your penned words were truly heartfelt.You allowed the reader to see and feel what you were penning, and I am so sorry that you feel you have to depart from AP for a while, it is always a sad thing to see when a poet feels they have to take leave, but can understand when one feels this way.I hope you are able to work your life out for the better, take one day at a time and please, don't stay away too long, you have many friends here that miss you.

The last two stanza's are really good. The flow was excellent. Your message came across well and it was the perfect length.
The only thing I could advise you to do is to make the flow a little better on the first couple stanzas. Good job... sorry it took me so long to return a comment

I am sorry you feel the need to leave us. I think I have some inkling as to what took place, or at least with who. It is a true shame.
I wish you and Vic happiness, and hopefully this will blow over, and your soul will feel stirrings to return to us.

I hope that this doesn't mean you are leaving the All Poetry family. I only have read your entries for awhile because I am three-months new but this poem is great and I don't want you to leave--write more when you have time but don't just commit yourself to leaving or staying. I Will Miss You!
Oh I am going to miss you so much! Your poem is so sad, I am sorry that you have been hurt. I know I will miss you so very much. You mean so much too me. I hope that you and Vic will find much happiness. Thanks for your very kind words of Jason's Dad passing as always they mean so very much too me. I'm sorry, too, that you've decided to leave us. It sounds like it's because of something we said or did that has hurt you. If that's the case, please forgive. But whatever your reason for bidding us farewell, I wish for you happiness and prosperity.
I'll miss you, many of us will... your poetry, your sincerity, you. Your farewell poem is lovely, even in its sadness. I hope you'll return to us and at least drop in to say hi now and then.
