Battling the war zone,
mind verses soul.
Ease is ceased,
captured by reality’s hold.
Struggles buried beneath
own wisdom.
Peace is deceased,
within our heart’s prison.
We seek for answers,
wherever we can.
Achieve is to deceive,
accomplishing without reprimand.
Conquering war zone.
Alone!
Leave then receive,
Medal of Insanity.

Ah an interesting an potent metaphor you have crafted here. Insanity as the final medal for all of the struggle endured--a daunting though.
Nice piece. Good luck in the contest. -
Wonderful take on the prompt.
