Her brain was reeling
She sprung from the floor!
Her lungs lit up
She sung and soared
Then she reflected:
“Lord, You’ve given what I couldn’t afford”
The tears from her ducts, drenched her blouse
And left an engraving behind in the couch
Trampled no more…
This emblem of dignity, again restored
Restocked and primed, it’s her time to fly
Gone are her days of reflecting: “Why, oh why…?!”
Author notes

Yeah, and other than this note here, I'll be away for about 1 more week. Our fasting is almost over. I just need to post a note and noticed the messages I had. But really, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like it.

I really like this piece. It makes me think about all the single mothers out there who feel that their lives are over at first but a blessing comes and helps them get back on their feet.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I was kinda going in that area. One for women in general though. "They are the gateways to this life".
