A scar is a memory
Of torment you once endured
How deep it goes
Depends on who put it there.
And the healing process always seems to creep by ever so slowly...
How do you heal if your soul has been completely obliterated?
What will it take
To have that memory start to vanish?
When will that scar
Cease to serve as constant reminder
Of the cut that left me
Broken?
A scar is a memory
That will eventually die.
Along with the torment
You forced me to endure.
