Over You

It is hard for me to see you,
To be around you once again.
I thought that i was over you,
That I had everything under control.
I kept telling myself that it was over,
I pushed you out of my mind.

Thinking of you only sometimes,
When I was finally alone for the day.
Reminiscing of old times,
Than laughing silently to myself.
Feeling temporarily at peace,
As if we never parted.

Now I see your smiling face,
You haven't changed a bit.
he simple glow of your face so well preserved,
Seeming to not be touched by time.
Able to finally feel your presence,
To see you so close again.

The simple touch of your arm around my waist,
Made me realize the love I still had for you.
Bringing down the barrier I had created,
Flooding my mind with lost emotions.
To hear you whisper that you love me,
Made me so confused inside.

Wondering why you would say such a thing,
When we ad been apart for so long.
Instantly tearing my heart in two,
Not knowing how I should feel.
Just yearning to get some answers,
To things left unsaid.
