it seems to have turned into a cute folk song,
which i'm marginally embarrassed about. i even
have a tune for it going round my head.

Hmmmm...this sure does have some 'pep' in this prose my dear friend. You have quite a bit of cheer and uplifted feeling sweetheart. If you say she's an absolute angel then I know she is. Loved it and keep playing that tune

ha ha thank you dear joy. yes she's a lovely quiet and wonderful lady. and, yes, sometimes i can be cheerful - and at others just absolutely awful. it's a strange combination to be witnessing.
