To bask in candlelight on a moonlit, starry night
My companion's eyes and heart dancing, swaying, saying
All the "I love you(s)" of a million dazzling days
To drink and never get drunk again, ever
To dance on my kitchen table because I want to
And not because of my extreme over-intoxication
To write a poem that somewhat resembles "the greats"
Poetry that would set the senses on hot red fire
To recite that poetry to the heartbeat of wild desire
To dance life with a step beyond the very ordinary
To escape the flight of midnight woe, and laugh circles
To risk it all, only to discover that I have won it all
To smell the scent of flowers at a moments notice
My favorite colours clammoring only for my view
To know that the one I love, finds that he loves me too
