A Dearth of Inspiration

What to write?
I do not know.
Where did all my ideas go?
No inspiration comes to mind,
a lack of decent prose I find.
It seems my wit deserted me,
it took a break, apparently.
I dearly wish to write something
but silence in my head does ring.
What has happened to my muse?
Where did it go? I am confused.
Yet though I claim my rhymes did cease,
I have composed this little piece.

Well done. I like it. The rhyme is well done and doesn't seem forced. Also, the ending is slightly predictable but good and I enjoyed it. Good job and good luck. ~Des

It's a nice little ditty that seems to be stemmed, and from me reading it I believe that it is stemmed, from utter-lack of anything better to do.

Which is always a good time to write a poem, whether it turns out to be total crap or not.

This, I find not to be total crap, or crap (whatever the case may be), as I stated, a lovely little ditty.

That's a cute and unusual way of expressing the frustration we feel when our mind goes blank. Sometimes I think I can feel a good inspiration forming but as I try to type it, it's gone. hahaha. Thanks for comment on Fran, Dan, and Ean. There is one more in my Collection titled "Mystique Brook: Vol I, II, III, and IV". jeshavinfun, jean

Nice rhyme scheme. It was pretty good. And no, I don't expect everyone to do something at the spur of the moment, that's the beauty of this.
