Convergence...

Interpret then my silence not as loss
For thoughts of you do always come to mind

I wait instead for spirit paths to cross
Our bodies then and only then will find

True beauty in the walk  that we shall share
A unity and truth beyond compare

Yet listen love for what my words don’t say
Such that you hear the message come the day

A waterspout shall send our hearts to soar
Splashed high we’ll frolic in the ocean’s roar

Then rest upon the shoreline filled and spent
Content that come whatever from then on
We've each the other to rely upon
So hush my darling calm your discontent

Soon very soon we will no longer thirst.

Author notes

“So that you will hear me
my words
sometimes grow thin
as the tracks of the gulls on the beaches.”

[Pablo Neruda]

A lovely flowing and almost singing feel about this poem and it falls very gently on the ears. I liked the voice here...very melodic and soft. Lovely poetry and interpretation of the contest theme!
