I’d like to be a smiling silhouette
lost in the shadows of your mind
ransacking your memories of me
taking the blame for hiding
and unwinding your ball of string
I’d sacrifice form, but keep my function
now I see you trusting me
fooling you into pushing me away
using me the way you always do
falling apart and never knowing why
I’d brush you aside
like an unwanted color
on an artists’ palette
choosing another
because
it suits me

wow this is really unique
"I’d brush you aside
like an unwanted color
on an artists’ palette
choosing another
because
it suits me "
sadly, I relate to that too much.
