Actually this poem was to tease my daughter (who is also on Allpoetry).
For whatever reason she was opening my "session" on our computer and accessing the AP site through my "Toolbar" (why was never explained to me)...so when I opened AP: her page came up...so I posted this poem on her page to let her know I'd had access to her page that had been left on several times without her logging out...
The "daddy" is in reference to the Sylvia Plath poem, which is one of her favorites.
I was the Owl, the mysterious shaddow on her webpage...
Actually she was a bit ticked off and moved the poem back to my page.

Does that answer the question, my Ausie Friend?

    belly full of lemming bones

How is it that you can make something as disgusting as that into pure poetry?

The force is strong with this one...

This certainly paints a picture of an owl hunting an night by the light of the moon - congratulations on taking bronze in this contest. Lovely haiku.
