parts of me are missing
not sure of where they are
used to be one body
but now there is a scar
or two where pieces gone
not sure of where they went
had them all at one time
there must be some dissent
between vacant sections
not sure where they could be
bits of body left behind
as from an abductee
who left enough behind
not sure how many gone
so one could still be sane
with coming of new dawn
so as I wait a while
not sure how many days
with less left I'll buckle
mind's missing in the maze

This piece is mournful and lonesome. Beautifully orchestrated to the prompt, yet needs no graphic to stand on its own. I like that in a poem.
Smooth rhyme here that flows nicely. I love your stanzas link, at least they did to me giving the last line of each, double meaning. Unique and beautiful and a wonderful entry for this contest. Thank you for sharing this piece. It is very well done. ~Pamela
