Rain has Won

Hope is fighting back
The light peaks through
the blackened sky
a sky that threatens rain
A hand from the sky
beckons me towards it
but I can not comply
The hand soon fades
replaced with mush
giving in to the dark
Praying mother
worried father
let your children go
let them learn from their mistakes
let them learn to live on their own
If they come back
know that they are stronger
If they don't come back
Just know you helped
them find their way
And it's not your fault their gone
Now the rain has almost won
the light is fading fast
the light will come
all in good time
but for now
the rain
has
won

Please tell me what you think

Sounds like someone with a lot of struggles in life, whose parents are worried about them, but if they taught that person right, they should turn out okay. I think you did an excellent job on this poem, I like the shape that its in also!
