Wings don't cure life's awful stings,
so please don't fly away!
These things are lies that music sings
but look - their authors live today!!
No one knows where their life goes,
though we feel like puppets here;
and if there's strings then heaven knows,
there is no need to fear.
Step inside the place you hide,
and turn the light back on!
A demon calls you in his pride
and tells you "Life is gone."
It ain't over, not quite yet,
but when it's time you'll go.
So when it's time have no regret,
tell life "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"
If you have the energy
to contemplate the end,
you certainly have more than me
so STAND, and do not bend.
Angels to your Alamo,
God unto your aid;
One day you'll say "I TOLD YOU SO!"
for decisions you have made.
