Senior Year! Never Drink and Drive.

It's my last year,
After four years.
I'm here at last,
Close to reaching the end.

My mom now,
Cries every night.
She doesn't want to,
Really let me go.

My brother,
Doesn't show it.
But he hurts inside,
He wishes I wouldn't leave.

Just yesterday,
My grandma sat on her rocker.
Looking at me,
She couldn't believe.

How much I have grown,
How much I look like daddy.
Tears rolled down her face,
As I hugged her and walked away.

I thought to myself,
It's gonna be hard on her too.
It's gonna be hard on everyone,
When I go.

As I was walking to my car,
My cousins all ran to me.
Hugging me,
Begging me not to go.

I kissed them all,
Told them I'd be back.
As I got in my car,
And pulled out the drive way.

That night,
My mom picked up the phone.
"Ma'am please come to the hosiptal"
Was all she heard.

The road was slick,
The other car came into my lane.
Hit me head on,
I didn't make it.

The other driver was drunk,
He was in my second period class with me.
I never got to see,
My cousins again.

My family,
Had to let me go,
Before my time was up.

Please tell me what you think
