The gray fog that spreads the forest
Is a confusion of my inner self,
Lost between the dreams of the time
And the reality of the moment,
Boxed inside a fading world of a fun magical fantasy
But silently begging to be set free,
Longing for someone to bring this nightmare to an end,
Seeing that the fading illusions of the night
Are only lost emotions,
For one hazy shadow is merely a false impression.
Please tell me what you think

This is a marvelous write. It has profound depth and really made me stop and marinate over it.
I love the metaphoric power of this piece. It has excellent imagery and flows superbly. It also is concise and has harmony and clarity. It creates a vivid picture, a solemn atmosphere. It presents a conflict I personally can relate too. A real sense of, I guess, kind of a hapless longing that an artist can flourish in the turmoil of modern society and its hideous aversion to beauty, dreams, and hope.
Those last three lines grasped me the most. A remarkable finish that really threw me into a deep stew. This poem is incredible, very well done!!!!
