Journey's time

Picture of framed love,
encircles diamond of gold.
Standing side by side,
awaiting journeys into time.

Suit of striped grey,
matching dress of pleated flair.
Hearts of beating togetherness -
chaperones of journey's time.

Collage of framed art
now echo's steps of bliss.
Adages of aged years
hint journeys' ending time.

Farewells bid;
each alone,
their final to undertake.
Fifty-two moments held -
signals of journeyed time.

Author notes

Photograph of my parents on their weding day.

    Oh Frans!

In this wondrous poem of warmth and appreciation and tribute, I see words of linkedness in divine love:

framed, encircled, side by side, matching, togetherness ... as together as can be! A journey of two as one ...

But then, in death, each alone, with God, journeyed into Eternal Home. Always to be whole.

I see in this poem gratitude, love, bliss.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful words!
