Check check, reality

“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.  "Pooh," he whispered.

"Yes, Piglet?"

"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."

Can you trust yourself through all the hype
I’ve heard you're the psychedelic type
Your mind begins to bend just so
How can you be sure you know?

Eager psychonauts will jump in
Fascinated and blown away
You stare off looking for that something
Peruse the peace that comes your way

Amidst the floes of static minds
Your humanity unwinds
Eradication of the very self
Gives way to paranormal wealth

What better way to calm the rush
How better to confer with us
Ask us what and why we hear
Make doubly sure that we’re still here

Check your reality

Please tell me what you think

I really enjoyed reading this poem, particularly how you began it with the quote from Winnie the Pooh. Excellent piece. You've brought a very abstract concept into a concrete form, and I'm so glad I was able to read it. Applause!

I often ask myself if maybe I am just a figment of someones imagination or if they are simply constructs of mine. Reality is all a matter of perception, and I am because I percieve myself to be. Very deep write. Thanks for sharing
