Size zero is an empty size
It measures not the heart
It ignores a woman's eyes
And the fire they impart
Beauty lives not by size
But lives within her soul
The smile of a real woman
Can be an honest goal
Time will age one and all
Empty beauty slowly fades
Size zero will not give love
There at the end of days
So walk with pride and beauty
For your words touch us too
You have always been a woman
With real beauty yes its true
In a list

I agree with Nicole (and that woman knows what she's talking about!!!)... this is wonderful and true!!
Size 0 means nothing... but what is inside is what counts. I struggled myself with body image when I was younger, being an athletic build was not "cool"... now I just celebrate it! Every woman should celebrate her individuality I think!!
Great writing as always!

OH MY GOSH! Would you mind terribly if I printed this and hung it my daughters mirror?
It is so wonderful and true.
Since the loss of her father she's been having a bit of body image issues and I think this would be a great poem for her read every morning as she gets ready for school or what have you.
Now back to the poem... You have an amazing talent and it most certainly shows in this poem as well.
You poetry belongs in a published book!
And I'm not just 'blowin smoke' (LOL)
I woudn't say it if I didn't believe it!
Sincerely Your Friend,
Nicole

Beauty is within the heart and soul of us humans.
