It was the best of terms, it was the worst of terms
When an orca chewed the scene
Cos it's a helluva fate to straddle love and hate
With nothing in between
A time when conversation only brings about sedation
And it's leaving me perpetually cold
With a girl in booty shorts yelling quips and retorts
You can't quite be consoled
Wake up, pull the foil over your eyes
She'll marry the question while you're eating hair
Blind your mirror image to anesthetize
The cry of depression and the wail of despair
There was a chance encounter of a way back when
When the world smiled not so wide
No sense of blind devotion or other kind of motion
That wasn't dignified
So I'm sick of the tears and sick of the fears
The generation hides
But abandon them for something else
I couldn't if I tried
It's beyond my volition when things are in remission
I'll take my air conditioning as I slowly burn
Step back and you'll observe a damn near bottomless reserve
Because when graded on a curve somethings I'll just never learn

Oh wow, I was singing this in my head while reading this. I think it would make a good song. I did really love this poem. I didn't know what it would be about. The whole thing is amazing honestly. I loved it all. I wish you the best of luck in this contest.
