Sea

Sea, your whisper resembles a mermaid's breath,
you leap the heights, dive to depths,
ride the waves of an electric storm,
relentlessly your waves reach toward evening's early light.

You lift seagul's wings,
feathers spread resembling a peacocks ardent display,
gulls follow like a bride's innocent veil.

Heaving masses, spewing frothy spray,
marveling as it dances toward heaven's enticing arms,
changing into gentle, soothing laps,
glinting in union with sun's flashes,
beckoning each searching tide.

Senses sharpened,

awareness heightened,

every fibre electrified,

alive,

then comes the calm,

hearts' peace.... the sea.

Very, very nice chain of free flying thoughts. I also like to watch the sea, especially in the night, listening their murmur and rush over the cliffs. Bravo Katie.
