As I imagine a little child being lost in this world
I wonder what is becoming of it and why these things happen
It makes me sad and hurts me like lots of others as well
To see our children being abducted by strangers or missing
This is a big world we live in with a lot of places to vanish into
So on this day I say a prayer and light a candle for you
All of the ones who are missing and frightened and lost from their families
We all over the world all the people who speak different languages
All feel the same way in our hearts and minds no matter where we are
We all want your safe return to your loving family on this special day
We pray for many things in our lives to happen , some are more critical
I feel in my heart that the Lord above is watching over you today
He has Angels surrounding you every moment taking care of you
The Lord hurts also to see such things take place
He does not like to see his little Angels of the land in distress
With all the love and prayers surrounding you at every moment
I feel it in my spirit that you will be home soon with some intervention
Just know that a lot of people love you and are praying and doing what it takes
Even though I am on the other side of the world i feel the pain myself
My thoughts go out to your loving family for comfort and peace
May the Lord give this unto them on this day and be blessed all their lives
Let their burdens be light and their futures be bright and plentiful
Let the little girl of their life be the light of tomorrow
May their lives be forgotten with the sorrow and filled with joy and love
God knows they are hurting and afraid but it will not be in void
He will help you in a way that will turn things around for a miracle
I can feel this little child in my heart and it will never part from me
Praying for a safe return and a loving reunion with this family
May the Lord be your guiding light today and every day of your lives
In the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit i pray this day
Until you are home and safe you will be in my heart

awww this is a really sweet thing to write, all those missing children out there, thinking of them is so sad, and i know this contest is for maddy, but she's not the only child i think of as i read this poem, i think of every child in the world who is missing, the ones who'll be found soon, and the one's who will never be found, along with those who were once lost but now are found... taking children is such a cruel thing to do, you would have to have such a small heart to do such a thing... children are innocent, there is no need to bring them into the selfish games adults play... and i pray all the missing children shall one day be found, they deserve after all they've been through...
also, those people who complain about their childhoods, they should be thankful they had a family around them, no matter how awful it was, they should be thankful they weren't taken by a complete stranger to a strange place...
