Our bond of friendship…
not a secret invitation
to fill up a restless void
in these two blank canvasses,
but a rare privilege
to perk up each other’s world
with different colors on each life’s palette.
This bond of ours…
not surprisingly sweet
during the blessed times
of birthdays and endless fantasies,
but hauntingly beautiful
during the dreary ages
of broken hearts and unbearable sorrows.
Oh you and me…
truly and proudly
true friends we really are
for our hands and our hearts
are tenaciously embedded
into each other’s destiny’s path
and in each other’s spirit’s core.

this is a lovely poem on a beautiful friendship. I like how you put one line before each stanza and then describe it.
the coming together of two souls does add a certain amgic and colour due to the difference and that is one of the beautiful things about friendship. It's nice to know this person is your all-weather friend. Some are just in it for the good times. 
I love how it is destiny that binds the both of you. How amazing! Hope your friendship lasts till the end of time. best of luck in the contest!
