Your life is a picture
Like painting by numbers
It's all in the way
It pans out in the wake
Of a tide ever changing
That flows without exception
It's all in the way
We're left defenceless and exposed
I caught your last act
While waiting for the encores
I watched you from the sidelines
At your performance so grand
And still I was amazed
At your brazen exposure
And the beautiful disaster
That was about to unfold
All the words in the world
Could not describe all these feelings
That welled up deep inside me
Like a fire hydrant hit by a car
And the fountain that rose
Became a tidal wave of confusion
And rose up to the sky
Threatening to sweep me away
Yet I still stood my ground
As the emotions swirled around me
My breath was taken away
Like my thoughts on the wind
And I was totally aghast
At your brazen assumptions
And the beautiful disaster
That was about to unfold
I just couldn't breath
I was smitten to silence
As this beatiful disaster
Was about to unfold
Oh, my this beautiful disaster
That I had no control...
