I'm sorry.
I'm sorry I'm not perfect.
Perfect daughter
Perfect friend
Perfect lover.
I can't.
Can't do it
Can't deal
Can't help it
I'm sorry.
I have to make me happy now
I'm sorry.
You can't control me anymore
I'm sorry
I am my own person

I like this piece cause it let every one know that no one is perfect. though I do not think one should be sorry for not being perfect. you should be proud of who you are.

interesting but to be frank a little plain, thanks for the entry though

If we'd all realize we can't please everyone and are not perfect. As a perfectionist myself I can relate to this piece.

Truly a poem of truth and honesty here! To know who you are and what faults and failings you have at such a young age is to be admired. Too many people spend years trying to be someone they're not, which is so sad and such a waste of valuable life. I enjoyed this poem and will definitely read more of your work. Take care, Julie.

Well I feel a sense of freedom drawn from your aptly chosen words. But rather, who is your audience... and what are you really running from? Food for thought when I read this poem .
Bravo

At first it was directed toward my mother, and a few of my friends.

NICE
I was drawn to the title, well chosen. Nice job describing the conflicts a young woman faces, deals with or choses not to deal with. I think it's a wonderful thing to have that insight so young. And selfish, which is not always a bad thing. You go, girl!
