Suddenly a single beam erupts through the darkness,
beautifully breaking the placid purples,
shoeing the stars back and illuminating the moon,
the curtain of night is lifting and slowly,
ever so slowly,
light edges its way across the horizon,
Pink swirls mixed with with blue skit across the sky in excitement for the coming day,
as Amber pours out from behind the blotches of landscape,
Aridly the sun lifts its mighty head,
showering the world with colour,
Yellow and Orange flourish in the gaining blue air,
The rays of gold caress the land
until the night...
...can no longer withstand

needed more
Hi Nick I loved this but I thought it needed to be a little longer, the vividness of the colours was great for the minds eye.
A beautiful piece of work.

Beautiful autumn poem. At first, I did not know which season it was, which is good to keep the reader guessing. This one is filled with imagery and colourful descriptions. Wonderful with "Pink swirls mixed with with blue skit across the sky in excitement for the coming day,
as Amber pours out from behind the blotches of landscape," That was my favourite. This was such a graceful write! Best of luck in my contest
