Well my friends, I have been giving our little mouse Trixie, some well deserved time off ,
but with the starting of school around this big
country of ours, I thought it would be a good
thing for Trixie to review the safety rules
for the boys and girls going back today.
With the number of small children back on the
streets, and many of them not paying any attention to our many safety laws, I thought
this would be a fun way to review.
Once they learned these rules of the road, I hope
that they never ever stray.
So now in the classroom every one is very
quiet.
A police officier has come in to help poor
Trixie with her presentation, she could feel her throat it was dry as a bone.
So these are the “ Rules of the Road ! ” she started off very meekly.
The first thing you have to do is to look both
ways before you cross a busy street.
You have to walk quickly across moving those little feet.
Rule number two is Just as important,
You never should walk out in the road from
between parked cars.
Rule number 3, still important as well, stay away from those rivers that swell.
Rule number 4, still going strong, please look
Before you leap, or you might get a headache.
Rule number 5 the last one for today, is really
quite simple, stay out of trouble until the days
end.
Well there you have it my friends, Trixie said with a wide grin.
Please pratice these safety rules and you’ll
never have to pretend.
So she just sat back down in her seat, to the
applause of the other students.
