Turquoise Blue Box

Taking my sheltie for his late afternoon walk
As usual down Old Oaken Bucket  Road
Favorite spot, under the red oak tree
As the sun light sparkled though the leaves
My thoughts went back to when he proposed
We were sitting here on this bench
As I open the familiar turquoise blue box
My heart was excited, pounding fast within my chest
Diamond sparkling with reflection of the sun
Caressing my hand he slipped it on
his words echo tenderly in my ears
As I remember thirty-nine years ago
October eighteenth the start of our life

A beautiful scene, and the background seems to match the mood well. Nicely written too I think.
