vengeance

‘vindictive’ --
the word curls
your tongue
into breakers of
autumn-leaf fire

soft dew-fingers
of peace
sizzle like butter
and
rain-tunes spin
themselves dry
in presence of
wildfire;

i cannot win.

    Revenge is really something ain’t it? As it really does…”curl ones tongue into breakers of autumn leaf fire.” The poem really spoke to the readers about vengeance but with colorful words put together to produce a bronze winning poem. I wonder no more…
