What would happen,
If I don’t feel like loving you today?
Would you shrug your shoulders and walk away?
Or would you still stay,
And try again tomorrow?
For I am confused with my life at this point.
And loving you would only make me insane.
For in my heart
I do love you.
But to keep my sanity,
I must not love you all the way.
For today, I don’t feel like loving you today.
But that doesn't mean i will never love you.

An interesting take on Gretchen Wilson's song title. I've known these thoughts and feelings myself. Wonderfully penned.

no matter how much we love someone, there are times we must withdraw. It doesn't mean the feeling is lost, only that we need to be alone with ourself and take cautious inventory of life and the part we play in it

I like the push pull in this poem. You speak well of how we often have to close the doors to the house of our love. Not because we don't or can't love but that now we have to stand in another place and work with the reason and means before us to accomplish what must be done. Love has not disappeared it just is not paramount to day.

I Know This Feeling
I really enjoyed this. I feel like this too many days to count. Love is such a strong emotion and sometimes we just don't have the strength for it. It's hard work, but it's well worth it in the end. That's how we know we are truly alive. Good luck in the contest. Hugs~ Cuddles

at this point, its the way things are in my life. loving the father of my children would mess things up. but that doesnt mean that i dont love him deep down.
