[ Moving to the moon ]

Missing image
Moving to the moon?

I chose my CD player as first choice
and music that I love to hear each day.
I like to sing although I have no voice;
to live without I’d have to say ‘No way!’

Of course I must not go without skin care
for Moon can damage skin so very quick.
I can't appear to be a prickly pear
and turn the people green or make them sick.

But most of all, it's happiness I’d choose -
without it means a life of being alone.
I’d rather be happy there than singing blues
and be together when the earth gets blown.

To seek a new world's hard enough to do;
to leave this life behind to start anew.

    Dear Jen,

Fun! I have a lot of people I want to hang out with. Can I bring my classical music? Those moon people won't know what hit them. Marvelous write my friend. Best of luck in the contest.

    Hugs and love,
    Petratani

Music is essential to me..I need my creams and lotions, too. Happiness is most important of all no matter where I live or what I do.

I enjoyed the humor and sincerity in your poem! Best of Luck in the contest!

    Love,
    Maureen

Well said jen. As for your singing. Moon serenades sound good sung with earthly tones.

    Dear Jenelda,

I've decided I'm not going to the moon after all! I just got a new LCD screen for my PC setup and if I can't take it with me I'm gonna stay here to enjoy all my pictures which have taken on a new life.
I was worried about the effects of weight loss and how I'd get a repeat when my pills run out and your bit about skin care has been the final straw!
Thanks for your great poem and the warning! See you when you get back.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)

We're not coming back Dear Hugh, the Moon will be our home, so don't say you're not coming coz you'll miss the big event and I know you don't want to do that.
      Besides I'd miss you.
      Love Jen

While it's a proven scientific fact that the moon is indeed made of cheese, I think caution is the order of the day... everyday... I mean where will everyone be when all the cheese has been eaten??!!

Cheeze and Moxie IS an unbeatable combination, though

    Good luck in the contest

Dear A/J, OHH yes, definitely bring your cream, even though I know you don't wear makeup, except for lipstick you'll have to use the cream to keep it looking so smooth.
      Love Jen

    Nice

I love the moon shot...and I agree..we need to live where we can be the happiest if at all possible but I think we will have good company on the moon and if we share a little of each persons 3 things ...hey, we'll have a bonanza and some Moxie too...

If we have to leave our world I guess the Moon is the next best thing, though it's very barren I guess they'll have to make Dome cities for us to live in. The Bonanza and Moxie sounds great.

Cool! That graphic alone deserves a trophy! I like the arrow pointing to where you'll live. I think they have a hole in a crater waiting for me.

I'm still not sure what three I'd take, one's Moxie of course, but happiness sounds like a darn good choice!

If you bring a lot of your three things I'll bring a lot of three different things and we'll have six things. We'll beat that darn Mayor McCheese.

...Yeah, I know, I better go lie down, lol.

Dear Yem, I knew Moxie would've been one of your choices.
OHH So the moon is made of cheese? Mayor Mc cheese. Pretty cool.
