The soft glow of the candle flickers
as the gentle breeze cools the air
you hold me close and whisper you love me
you promise that forever we will share
the crickets sing us a love song
while the fireflies dance to the tune
you kiss me so softly, so sweetly
in the silvery light of the moon
as the candle flame dies and the crickets end their song
the fireflies finish their waltz
you tell me again that you love me
and you wish this night would last forever
this night was meant only for us
this is our special night together
