Laughing, running, playing,
we let our fingers trail the soft grass,
the wind gently passing like a friend.
We roll through the green stalks,
nothing but bird calls and sun,
our laughter ringing out.
Suddenly our lips touch,
purely by accident, or was it?
My hand closes over yours,
and we are together forever.
Laying down,
we watch the clouds go by,
each thinking about each other,
niether daring to look into the other's eyes.
With a smile,
I tickle your nose with a grass stem,
relaxing the moment slightly,
as we laugh and play.
Our field of love.

Still pretending like I didn't read this before...

I love the nature imagery, but I have to agree with a comment down below that this would be so much better if it was longer. This whole poem was beautiful.
Thank you so much for entering my contest.
Always,
Cassie

Cute
Very cute, I really enjoyed reading it. I love how you made it as if you and the person running didn't expect that they will fall in love. I felt as if I, and alot of others, would enjoy if it was longer. Other than that, I loved it!

Why do you make me cry???

I love you sooo much, and that will never change!!!

Nice
I can imagine this playfulness and rolling around in the fields. Great imagery.

"My hand closes over yours,
and we are together forever."
This is a softly sweet, sentimental & soothing piece, Poet. Cassie will be most pleased, I'm sure. Good luck in the contest. Be well, Poet.
