The Fall Of Lal

Legends fall from grace as some fade away
This is with the story of Lal, vanished
Along with the times of dragons banished
Truss bridges connected the tree chalets.
As the day broke ominous over Lal
The dragons flew quietly on attack,
The truss bridges burned, the village was sacked;
Lone, a sentry stood, while dragons corral
The tarmac blackened in the dark scorched earth,
A vibrant village in the trees now burned
High in the redwood trees the sentry felt
The eyes of the dragons gauging his worth,
Their talons he could see, as their breath churned
And the ice blue dragon flew near, he knelt...
