Blood Splattered Walls & Red Hearts of Love

Living a life locked in my head
A world of empty thoughts, I wish i was dead
Moments in time, euphoric memories
Project their show behind green eyes
Images of you, thoughts and sounds
Widen the hole in my chest
Drown my face in tears, regrets
I fall to the ground
Love so wanted, yet unwanted by you
Were you real at all?
Was there a time when I had you?

And don’t bother trying to explain
Your words so cold, empty, razorblade pain
Im past the point of comprehension
Way past no return
And you plead for me to listen
You hold a gun to my head
Threaten me with lies, extinction
Empty words hold no impact
I place my hand on top of yours
And help you pull the trigger.

A split second decision, I take your hand
Before the bullet rips through my brain
Love for now, goodbye forever
Blood to blood, dust is next
Forever gone, like a faded photograph
You turn gray…

Scattered memories fade away, like sirens
The ones that screamed that winter day
Blood splattered walls with red hearts of love
Washed away, a blank white slate
Your last words whispered in great pain
Dark burdened haste
‘I promised to never forget you
To never let you go
Until this very day…’

Please tell me what you think
