Forever lost was I
Through infinite time and space
Ostracized and loathed
By Adam’s horrid race
And yet I kept on living
Not quite sure knowing why
When Aphrodite’s shadow
Blindly passed me by
I gazed at it with wonder
And like Icarus I leapt
Finding the wicked truth
Much too hard to accept
I had not titan’s force
To steal that blessed flame
Of immense beauty and passion
For whom I loved yet couldn’t claim
I reached out like a man
Befouled and sick with sin
Whom before the kiss of death
Tries to save his immortal skin
He reaches for forgiveness
Although he knows it is too late
As he falls towards the darkness
Of Satan’s hellish gate
But I shall always fall
And never shall I land
As Long as I continue reaching
For her gentle hand
