Under the silver moon we dance
A queen entwined with a warrior prince
Dancing to the wilderness night song
Arm in arm spider silk now ties
A forbidden love between the two
Two people worlds apart an elf and human
One will live long the other will wither
Yet neither see what lies on the outside
Only with their hearts do they truly see
The love that runs through their veins
Under a blanket of stars watched by the ancients
Tall majestic trees thousands of years old
Here they are free to be themselves
No one to judge as nature has already approved
With a kiss old laws are broken by their union
Forbidden to return to their families
Their lives now forfeit yet love runs strong
Here in each others arms they feel safe
Once past the forest boundaries only death awaits
For their marriage has broached the fragile peace
And the earth cries both joy and sorrow for what is to come
The price of true love has divided the masses
And hence the war of races has now begun.
A queen entwined with a warrior prince
Dancing to the wilderness night song
Arm in arm spider silk now ties
A forbidden love between the two
Two people worlds apart an elf and human
One will live long the other will wither
Yet neither see what lies on the outside
Only with their hearts do they truly see
The love that runs through their veins
Under a blanket of stars watched by the ancients
Tall majestic trees thousands of years old
Here they are free to be themselves
No one to judge as nature has already approved
With a kiss old laws are broken by their union
Forbidden to return to their families
Their lives now forfeit yet love runs strong
Here in each others arms they feel safe
Once past the forest boundaries only death awaits
For their marriage has broached the fragile peace
And the earth cries both joy and sorrow for what is to come
The price of true love has divided the masses
And hence the war of races has now begun.
Author notes
Just trying something different, as I read alot of fantasy books, when i need to try and relax, and one thing I've noticed is wars start for some strange reason, abit like real life when you sit down and think about it.

This is absolutely wonderful. I knew you had it in you. A wonderful fantasy story with love and war. To love someone for who they are inside and not outside is the best way to love. To see with the eyes of true love. Well done. I love it. Good luck in the contest.

absolutely beautiful
Under a blanket of stars watched by the ancients
Tall majestic trees thousands of years old
Here they are free to be themselves
No one to judge as nature has already approved
With a kiss old laws are broken by their union
this is where I would want to live
where no one judges and I am free to be myself.
