awash in beauty.
No agenda, no schedule,
and all I ask you in return,
weave magic thoughts that lift my soul.
I am as you made me;
withdrawn, martyred to loneliness,
poised to venture.
The winter snows do melt away.
I gaze upon you sleeping there.
My hand begins to stroke your chest;
moonbeams touch you,
whispered enticing.
Waiting for the moment,
from now until eternity.

She has many accomplishments and you will see that if you check out her work. Liz, this is how you have inspired me and I am honored to have met you and become your friend. http://allpoetry.com/peliroja
Cento
A cento is a poem made up of lines from many different poems. Often such a poem is called a patchwork poem. You can use various authors or one author. Ohhhh...First off, I love the border, it is classy. Then, I know how hard a CENTO is to write, and how time consuming. I am presently working on one to celebrate a poet's 1,000 trophy here at AP.
Your poem flowed with such ease of pen. It always amazes me the beauty that can be found in an individual poet's writings. You have taken the time to choose lines that highlight "Peliroja's Pen". This is superb! Congratulations on winning honorable mention. Well deserved indeed!
Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

Renee, I forget who had this bordered background in here, I fell in love with it and asked their permission to save it to my custom ones. I knew right when I wrote this piece exactly which one I would use. It is amazing how we can take an author and find from their works a poem that will flow as smoothly as their works do. Please let me know when you complete the cento that you are doing. I would love to read it. Thank you for the lovely words of praise that you gave to me and the congratulations on the HM. Even if it hadn't won anything it is golden to me because Liz loved it. That to me is what mattered the most. I'm very happy that you enjoyed this one. Love and God bless you my friend, Joyce

Maria, I don't think reading will take care of that. LOL Thank you for the colorful and loving words. Is it virtual or is it reality? Hmmmmm, I wonder which.
I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Love always, Auntie Joyce xoxoxoxoxo

This is really an amazing tribute to Liz. This must have required so much work to research the poems, find the lines that work, and then document each line. I can tell by her comment that it meant a great deal to her, and I am so happy that you two have become friends. I hope you win a trophy for this, but I know you have won gold in the hearts of those you care about you. Hugs, your daughter Mazie

Mary, Thank you for the applauses and such a wonderful compliment you gave to me. Liz deserved this and more for all she has done. What better way to tell someone how good they are than with their own words. I had only done one before and I thought of this for Liz when I wanted to show her my appreciation for all she has been to me. Even if I don't win, this one is gold to me. The fact that she loves it makes it that way. I'm so happy that you enjoyed it as much as you did. Love always, Mom HHHHHHHHH KKKKKKKKKK

ana, Thank you for the lovley words of praise. I had only done one cento prior to this and they are such a great way to honor another poet's work. Peliroja is an inspiration to many and she gives of herself in her profession which is an English teacher. I commend her for that as well. Thank you for hosting and the best wishes. Love and God bless, Joyce

Oh wow
This is just great my friend...you showed so much dedication to a wonderful poetes...and the work you had to do before it turned out as great as it is....a Cento...You are one of the best yourself too girl
I loved the whole poem but these lines caught my attention more then once:
no agenda, no schedule,
weave magic thoughts that lift my soul.
I am as you made me;
withdrawn, martyred to loneliness,
poised to venture.
Just as like I think of and read yours
I am speechless, well I better say..I can't stop telling how wonderful this one is
Good luck in this contest,
although I am sure you recieve a shiny gold,
I see one shiny already,
Yes...Peliroja...

Jeannette,
Thank you for the applauses and your words that have me blushing big time here. Liz is a wonderful poet or poetess if we want to get gender specific with it.
I felt this was the least I could do to honor her in some way and what better than words of her own. They do take time as you have to go through poems and find lines that will fit. Then comes the crediting part after. LOL
I wrote those down as I went. You have left me totally humbled by your words of praise and I'm very happy that you enjoyed this so much. Thank you for those best wishes along with the vote of confidence, I got the gold when I wrote it for her.
She does weave magic with her pen. Love and God bless you my friend, Joyce

This was so touching. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. You have always been a wonderful friend and supportive critic, and I am pleased to call you my sister. I can't wait to share this with Jason and Mazie. I know they will enjoy it as much as I did. Peace and hugs, Liz

Liz, Words are truly an inspiration and yours always touch me deeply. There is such beauty in all you write. Your sincerity, wit, character and golden pen have all reached out to me in so many ways. This was the very least way in which I could show you how much. I'm very happy that you enjoyed this and well you should seeing as they are all your words.
I would love to see a cento from you some time. They don't have to be specific to one author.
Don't ever put your pen down, you rock sis!!!!! Love always from your sis, Joyce
