A Poem About Life

Oh I'll twirl round these strands of my straight short blonde hair
And remember the times when I didn't quite care
But it all seems to change when you get to fourteen
Reveals that this world's not quite what it seems

With your first ever love and a painful heartbreak
How through time it did fade and the pain went away
When the adults will chide you and life seems unfair
And all you can feel is lonely dispair

Oh you listen to music and mess up your hair
And you live your teen life without thinking or care
But it all seems to go away as soon as it did come
You're left with the memories of where you came from

Oh it's under the moon and it shines with the stars
All the history of life and the memories of ours
And the sands of time are a'crumbling so fast
But live for today, don't think on the past

Please tell me what you think
