The place I met you was the last place on the earth
where I would have searched for love.
For years after years I have longed for one true love.
I flew near the majestic Himalayas.
I have crossed the Gulf of Bothnia.
I wandered through the alleys of London.
I passed the snowy graveyard at night.
I know the warm wind of the desert.
Alas! Still I couldn’t find one true love.
For you it was not love at first sight.
I have seen you days after days.
And one day I realised “I am in love with you.”

while I read your poem I somehow expected that the conclusion would be "And one day I realized that the love I was searching for outside - had always been present within my own heart"
somehow like turning the gaze within and finding the completeness without adding or subtracting anything to what is already here right now ...
but I do love your take on the prompt and thank you for your precious participation ...

it's funny how people don't really realise when they care about someone. I like how you go through these very epic places which is very good in saying that what you love is right in front of you.
