The Unholy Land and it's Forgotten Bard

The dead rising the bodies falling
Fire and brimstone rule the air
While blood seeps into the ground
The dark Night rules over his kingdom with an iron fist
A dark tyrant fit to rule this land of death
Abominations are his foot soldiers and Death is his general Hades has no rule
for the Night has ripped it from his boney hand
An eternal night forever encompassing this twisted land
No Knight in Shining Armor just his broken corpse
never to lift his sword against this evil land
Dark magics are the power Despair lives on eternal
A black Sun and a blood Moon rule the heavens for
all the stars with heavenly glow have been put out
No cries for help heard just the moaning of the damned
The hallowed halls are empty, the church ways all are dust
The rivers are dried the forests burned
Humanity is gone replaced with the dead and dying
No one to sing this unholy song just me
the Ethereal Bard forever stuck in the godforsaken land
Lost within Time's unforgiving sand

    dark!

It is a pretty bleak poem, I enjoyed it, particularly the line "Humanity is gone replaced with the dead and dying".

I like the ending, Time's unforgiving sand. It's a great expression and a neat rhyme with the previous line. Most of my stuff is rhyming couplets, and that style would fit this poem well.

Your first two references to "Night" (4 & 7) should be "knight", or something relative to it, and I'm curious as to why the knight cannot fight.

Dark and well written. The story it tells flows and is not disjointed and confusing. I liked the idea of a bard forsaken left so that he can sing a song for no audience....Great poem

    Bravo

A writing style in a language that's beyond my talents. I can see that I've come to the right place. Imagination and Fantasy are the delites of dreams. Two enthusisatic dragon claws up.

Nicely done. The 6th line is a bit long, compared to the rest of the poem's lines, but in all it's great. I love the imagery. good luck in the contest!

Very vivid and intense. The darkness here is contagious and has quite an effect on the reader's mood. Well done.
