Lets just call him "Hell" for now

While the pendulum swings all about

this demon inside always tries to slip out

Whispering words of discontent

never asking my advice or any consent

.

He just rattles this cage "Too and fro"

wanting to kill my faith, ...real nice and slow

.

showing no mercy for my soul

ranting and raving for his control

Pulling at heartstrings like a little child

this mutha fucker has gone completely wild!

.

There he is now trying to show his ass

no regard for manners or any class

I can see his smirk with that "shit eaten" grin

as a continuous flow of saliva runs down his chin

.

But when it's all said and done, this joker will lose

for the true side of me will tighten the screws~

Inner struggle is never easy...(sorry if that sounds glibe) Each have their own demons to handle, some a little easier than others. They question our sanity at times and also our faith in ourselves. I enjoy a fight.... Fight on brother

    Great poem!

that certain someone inside us is us perhaps? and maybe we are brainwashed into thinking we are bad is why our emotions tend to be crazy at times, always sinning, always repenting seems to be the way of life so much that we get confused... good luck in this contest.
    smile,

I love the feisty flow to this
poem, and yeah, I smiled because
I have a certain someone inside
    of me like this...

    Love, Lane
