Crumbling, down
you fail to see
just as I do
that this life
is a failure
and that it is
easier to give up
that keep fighting
on.
I know what you do
when the lights
get turned out,
and I see what
you feel when
there's no one
around.
I know why you do it
why at night
it's two fingers
down your throat
and during the day
your obsession
with calories
is all you think
about.
And I can feel why
you think that
and I know it wont
solve any of
our problems,
yet we do it?
Control, alive,
feeling, no?
Well yes actually
it's structure
something to cling to
when all else
is failing.
Crumbling, down
you fail to see
just as I do
that this life
is a failure
and that it is
easier to give up
that keep fighting
on.

I like the way you've formed the lines, it enhances the feeling of crumbling. It's always easier to give up in life, but journeying on through the pain is what builds our character. Growing up my bestfriend had an eating disorder. It was very painful to watch her, but I just loved her and was there for her. And when she was ready she got help. Thanks for sharing this.
