You can go ahead and lie to me,
Hurt me,
Try to change me,
But I’m not going to let you.
You can go ahead and beg,
Buy me things,
Flatter me,
But it doesn’t change how I feel.
Forgiveness is for the strong,
And excuses for the weak.
Don’t come crying to me,
For the choices you’ve made.
Every time you’re around me,
Hugging me,
Talking to me,
Is just a façade to get what you’re after.
I’m not blindly living anymore,
I’m onto your game,
And it’s not going to work,
But you never listen anyway.
I’ve moved on away from you,
And I’m done being manipulated.
I’m compared to you often,
But it’s a slap in the face.
For the first time in my life,
I feel like I own my freedom,
Because the only thing left to do,
Is prove that I’m nothing like you.
Please tell me what you think

Damn strait you're nothing like your dad!
(probably only one on here who knows him...)
But I might ask you about this stanza:
"Forgiveness is for the strong,
And excuses for the weak.
Don’t come crying to me,
For the choices you’ve made."
Which is the choice you have made?
Are you strong or weak?
In line three of the stanza all you show is that you are angry.
I just want to know.
I'm concerned that you did not post your facebook poem here...
You had BETTER NOT BE SERIOUS ABOUT THAT ONES CONTENT!!!!!!!!
Good poem
Well done
Nice and even all the way through.
