A huge crocodile swam up the Nile;
on his face, a great big smile.
A hungry crocodile was he,
wondering what to have for tea.
Along came Bob, a daring chap,
who tried to give old croc a zap.
But croc was not a happy bunny
and didn't think it very funny.
He tipped Bob's boat upon its side
and in the river, Bob did slide.
Old croc was pleased, he'd got his dinner.
But poor old Bob, he was no winner!
So if you're sailing up the Nile,
beware of that hungry crocodile.
He's a reptile, wild and fancy free
and not fussy what he eats for tea!

Nope, not too scary! Shel wrote many pieces of untimely and tragic endings in a humorous fashion. I like the playful meter and the narrative style of the piece. Thanks so much for entering my contest!
