does it ever feel like
you are piling gun powder
into a piece - prone to backfiring?

how can we so easily
be wreck-less with our emotions,
when there isn't even any
insurance coverage for our hearts?

why do we filter out
the inevitable, until
we simply can't filter
it out, anymore?

to truly love...
is to say no
to truly love...
is to let go
to truly love...
is to never know
I love you

i haven't been on here in a while, mostly because i havent been all that productive in months until now. it's good to see you seem to have been writing a lot, though.

ah, the same old goodness. i really do love your style and hope that you don't ever change it. well, i guess you're free to do so as long as you make it even more mindblowing, but i think that'll be pretty hard.

such wonderful metaphorical detail, it makes this something truly beautiful. it took me a couple of reads to understand the meaning of this poem (which is not at all a bad thing) but once i understood it, i was awestruck. the second stanza is my favorite, especially "wreck-less" and "insurance coverage for our hearts"
