seen with new eyes
constructed with pride
the greed of a man
history still stands.
Author notes
i was thinking of the old buildings and how well they were built
and from the writing on the side of the building
and how the world has become filled with greed

Wonderful and Truthful Piece
I love old buildings, and they should be cherished because they are part of our history [if only bricks could talk the tales they would tell].
Your piece was short but with so full of truth as well. It was powerful and thought-provoking. Well done, Raggy. A wonderful piece.I can see why this won a trophy.
All the best

I really enjoyed this. It was very short, but well written and delivered the message with ease. Very strong entry!

Well conceived..I often wonder what old buildings would say if they could speak. They have seen such changes since the first brick was laid. Where once pride was part of the construction, now only money orientation comes into play. Greed rears it's ugly head .

This is such a profound write, my friend, and I like how blunt and straight-forward it is. I've kind of always had a thing for old buildings, so this write had my attention right away since I always read the authors notes before the poem itself. The two words that I think linked together well in this write were 'pride' and 'greed'. Such an ugly combination within a soul, but so oftentimes, the combination comes into play. Excellent job.
