Climing trees,
scuffed knees,
seaside, sun and sand,
As I walk I have to hold my mommy or daddie's hand.
I skip,
I laugh,
I play and fight,
I try to be good with all all my might.
There is easter and christmas and my birthday too,
parties and fair rides and the wonderful zoo,
running and jumping and all things new,
all of these things I love to do.
Learning to swim for the very first time,
and dolls and teddy bears that are all mine.
to young to know about war and crime,
just keeping myself covered in yesterdays grime.
Innocent heart,
sweet darling smile,
the cutest face,
my hair tied in bunches and bows made of lace.

I love this write that is, indeed worthy of the gold it wears.
I found myself racing along beside you...my long hair in piggytails...laughing and playing.
Very well done and I love, LOVE...LOVE! the line...to young to know about war and crime....
ahhh...to be a kid again! what a blessing to have that veil of innocence.

haha. dont we all miss it. i went right from being in high school and here, 5 years later, im teaching it.
cant help to be jealous of the freedom of innocence.
though sometimes i let myself revert.

Many Thanks for your comment. I actually wrote it cause I don't really know what it is like to have that onnocents (I was abused), but I have a 2 year old girl and this is how I want it to be for her, she is my inspiration for everything.
