Kissed

Mighty oak gifts
earthen bed with an array
of vibrant coral hues.

Blue jays migrate south
in flocks,

escaping winter's breath held
on the cusp of
fall breezes --

autumn's kiss.

Ooh, I like the picture of autumn's kisses that you portrayed here yesh, yesh... It's me again and I'll try to comment some more of your work

Hope you're ready for episode 2

Only thing I'd fiddle around a bit in this magnificent piece is:

    of fall breezes --

Autumn is my favorite time of the year, although I don't like letting go of Summer because I know that Winter is just around the corner.

Your poem is very soothing. IT lends to the reader a definite peace. I love the use of the word "coral". Seems we see that word most often when referring to things to do with the ocean. In nature hues kiss all the elements. You have painted a wondrous picture with this poem poet. My backyard is truly a place of calm, which is what I felt after letting go of your words, which I allowed to linger for a long moment.

    BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you for this entry in my contest. I wish you the very best.

    Much Love ♥

Autumn is the perfect time for a stroll through nature's artwork. The colors of fall always leave me searching within for the proper words to describe the things I see & feel.

    To me, it's life itself...

I like this piece a lot...it makes me think and draws great imagery to mind. Well done, and the best of luck to you in the contest
