a rose with tiny petals
embedded prints beneath your feet
plush fibers to soothe your soles
when they feel tired and beat
I'd embrace you with gentle warmth
when atop of me you lay
to rest your aching body
at the end of your long day
a feminine touch of charm
I'd brighten any room
with dual, pastel colors
to fill my delicate blooms
shades of green and gold
to enhance my fragile leaves
mingled with specks of brown
amidst my fiberatic weave
elegance and beauty
would meet you every day
if the pattern of my life
is what you chose to lay
beneath your aching soles
forever...I would stay
